Have we learned? Yes! … and we can still learn more… so don’t miss our LAST #IAMZEROWASTE WORKSHOP EDITION and start a new year living without (or at least with less) waste and contribute to a better future for our Planet.

We truly believe in the power of community: We are part of the solution to reduce waste in our world. We all have the power to change and make a positive impact: How we live, act, speak has ripple effects on our environment.

Climate change has accelerated the need to find measures to reduce and manage the waste we create. Reduction and reuse of waste will help reduce pressure on the planet's natural resources while potentially reducing the emission of greenhouse gases created through mass production and burning of fossil fuels.

China’s Chang Jiang (Yangtze) River, which flows past Shanghai, delivers nearly 1.5 million tons of plastic waste into the Yellow Sea.

Learn about Zero Waste principles, our environmental context, how to be a Zero Waste Hero in Shanghai, and tips about where to buy, how to recycle, how to be healthy, which products to buy, etc. During the workshop, you will discover simple solutions to reduce or eliminate the need for packaging or single-use plastics. You are going to learn about the principles of the five “r”s (Reduce, reuse, recycle, repair, re-earth) and how to apply them to everyday life to achieve an almost rubbish-free home. You will find solutions and advice to make sure they get to start this lifestyle right away.

For all the attendants to our next, we have a goody bag containing a Zero Waste starting Kit (value 350 RMB).

COMPOST BIN WORKSHOP!

260 RMB. Sunday, 17th January 10 am-Noon

Get your own Compost Bin and learn how to compost in the city with worms.

You can reduce your waste by 30%! Come and learn how to make your own urban compost bin!. We will bring all the materials but feel free to bring scrap paper if you have. In the price, all the materials for building your own compost bin are included.

Workshop suitable for the whole family. Kids love it!!!
